Hey guys have you ever tried cannabis as an alternative medicine for your sick dogs? I've heard that CBD Hemp is now a thing for dogs with arthritis, compromised immune systems, stress responses, aggression and digestive issues.

I was reading some info here about CBD here in http: I would very much appreciate any ideas and advice regarding on this issue on dogs using cannabis as an alternative herbal medicine. Thanks in advance to those who'll answer. Curtis Sierra , Sep 29, Nat Ursula and pitbulldogs like this. Kit you give CBD's don't you? I just read yesterday that CBD's are now legal in 50 states. Nat Ursula and Capt. I'm in a legal state, so I buy tested low-THC cannabis at a local dispensary and make infused olive oil, mainly for our elderly cat, it's amazing for her arthritis.

If you can, and it's available in your area, I suggest doing it this way rather than buying CBD oil, since much of what is out there is poor quality.

There is a good outline of how to calculate and dose for homemade oil here: If that's all that's available to you, it's worth a try, but many of the CBD oils out there especially the ones for pets have been tested and shown to have little to no CBD in them. Much of this hemp is grown in China, and since it is a plant that picks up toxins from the soil, concentrating pounds of it into a small bottle of oil seems dangerous.

But, I know not everyone can live here on the West Coast with our easy availability of other options. Roxy and pitbulldogs like this. Roxy , Sep 29, Nat Ursula likes this. Roxy and Nat Ursula like this. This is kind of off topic but I live in a neighborhood with a lot of people who are 50 and up and I'm often commenting on how everyone in that age group seems to have shoulder pain and smokes marijuana in their garages.

They all suffer from some kind of arthritic pain and got a prescription. However, it can be more costly if you smoke frequently and need constant refills, which is why some people prefer to buy oil in bulk and fill their own cartridge themselves. With empty THC cartridges, you have to buy the vape juice separate. If you smoke frequently, this could be a more affordable and convenient option than buying a fresh cartridge every time. This way you can also experiment with different types of cartridges to find one that gives you the best vaping experience.

Empty vape cartridges can be purchased wholesale and in bulk online, but you can also find some at your local head shop. All you have to do is attach them to a reusable vape pen, which can be purchased from your favorite head shop or online vape shop. One of the most popular examples of a pre-filled single-use pod is the PAX Era pods, which are designed specifically for use with the PAX Era vaporizer.

Some of these brands provide their own vape pens and batteries to attach to the cartridge, but most can be used with your favorite thread battery attachment. Due to its ease and vapor production, we prefer the Bloom Farms Era pods, these pods are designed specifically for use with the popular PAX Era vaporizer , one of the most well-known vapes on the market that includes an LED interface, sleek design and PAX Vapor app that allows you to control the temperature from your phone.

You can also get them delivered from Eaze. It has a connection so you can use it in your regular Battery which makes it super convenient. After distillation, the oils are then recombined with controlled amounts of strain-specific terpenes to produce a heady psychoactive effect and distinct flavor profile. Organic cotton wicks are used to preserve the flavor, and ceramic core technology ensures an even temperature for smooth puffs every time.

Select Oil products can currently be found in dispensaries throughout Oregon and California. Cali OG, an earthy indica great for nighttime relaxation; Classic Jack, a lime-flavored sativa said to enhance creativity; and Day Dream, a fruity hybrid ideal for mellowing out any time of the day. Active, a sativa blended to energize your day and boost creativity; Balance, a hybrid thoughtfully produced to help relieve tension; and Relax, an indica for maximum relaxation.

Need something more than their standard blend? Go for the PLUS version , blended with an even higher cannabinoid concentration. Thanks Tracey, I will try and grind it down but what does he infuse with?

Is it weed or solid? Sorry about all the questions. Pain consultant has put me forward for spinal nerve stimulator, it's very invasive though, would rather the 'herbal' remedy any day, just a shame we are made to feel like criminals, the effects it provides far out ways the threat of prosecution though. Not for everyone granted, but works for me xx. I must have put in hundreds of online hours now, researching the whole subject and weighing up the pros and cons.

You go round in circles a bit but ultimately, with things as they are, I've decided it is what I want to try next.. I'm in a power chair all the time now, except for standing to transfer to stairlift etc. Without that ability to stand.. So I hope that this tells you that I am serious about trying some form of the plant. Like the other lady, I'd prefer not to have to smoke it.. I don't think It'd feel right having a joint in one hand and an inhaler in the other!

The food ways look good but really complicated! To make butter it seemed like a five hour job, with lots of specialised equipment. To be honest, someone has donated an amount of the relevant stuff, but when you read too much!

Any advice would be most welcome. Best wishes, chris x. Bolan I am pretty much like you, although I can stand a short time to relieve the pain through sitting, bloody vicious circle isn't it?! I have gone round the houses, so to speak, incase I am edited! I am very lucky in the fact I have my 'products' made for me. I also vape it, but somehow with you using an inhaler it might not be practical.

I don't use resin, you really don't know what's in it. Mine is green, proper plant green, with the stalks!!!

Get the 'green' variety, you could try a vape, without the nictotine in it? Thanks Tracey, it definitely helps. I have trouble summarising, as you can probably tell! I came out of hospital but was rushed back in twice over the next few weeks struggling to breathe. Months later, following basic breathing tests at home, they diagnosed early onset copd.

Once everything had settled down, I did used to wonder if they'd got that wrong, as I didn't feel as though I had a major breathing issue. Anyway I stopped smoking and probably used the inhaler too much, as though I'd get some sort of buzz from it I think! At least the tests began in earnest because of all that nonsense, with mri scans etc.

I'll bet you've got a similar story? I do get breathing troubles now, but it's mainly due to panic, and is exacerbated by the ms - usually at night when need to pee quickly But as you say, that could be mixed with other stuff.

When you say you have yours ground, is it dried then first? Hi Chris, the effect is pretty instant to be honest!! Not like waiting for the prescription drugs to kick in, it's almost immediate. It needs to be dry to be ground. Don't worry about talking about anything on here Chris, you will find everyone will be open about everything! My MS has been more of a slow decline really, RRMS at 1st, now SPMS, it's the bloody nerve pains that have been the most disabling to be honest, can cope with the other things but not this.

Son in law devised this method of taking cannabis, very effective! Anything else you need to know Chris, fire away!!

Thanks Tracey, I think that's just it I've got nothing against them, but they just don't seem to cut the mustard! I never take high doses, although I would have I'm sure, if they'd shown any signs they were going to work. Sometimes it actually seems as though they make things worse They all make you tired I'm sure, so they ought to prescribe something like cannabis I think what you're taking now, is about what I'll be hoping to try. I don't think the 'vaping' would be a problem.

Either that method, or the edibles! Savinex isn't half as good as the real thing Chris, no where near.

Do it yourself hun, if you need anymore advice, pm me, nowt I haven't tried, things you do in pain eh?!!!!!!!! Interesting reading about Sativex on the MS Society website. These applications may be turned down.

Faced with these barriers some people with MS buy cannabis illegally. I was wondering about that Tracey I'm in the midlands! Aint nothin like the real thing - hopefully that's true! I've not read many reports saying Sativex is the answer - more that it slightly eases pain and spasticity. That's fair enough, but I like that you say yours is pretty much instant Tracey!

I'll do a pm over the next few days, if that's ok?. I'm finding rrms quite fascinating to learn about
